THIS SADDLE HAS A VERY RARE FENDER CONNECTION THROUGH THE OUTER
SKIRT ! I HAVE HAD SEVERAL COLLECTORS AND SADDLE SELLERS LOOK AT IT,
AND THEY ALL AGREE THAT THERE WERE ONLY A FEW MADE LIKE THIS AT
MOST. MOST OF THEM HAD NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE AND ALL CONSIDER IT
VERY RARE AND SPECIAL.
There has been a quality repair long ago to one of the fender
straps, and one fender has had a slight trim on the bottom.

Antique
High Back
Western Saddle Tree |
Great
Western Saddle Tree
This Antique Western Saddle Tree was purchased
at a historic Ranch in Southern Colorado. Just imagine the times and
places this saddle has seen. This comes from the time when the West
was still young, and Real Cowboys rode saddles like this one. This
is a Single ring drop style, high back Rawhide covered tree. The
saddle must have been a Great one. We do not know the original
maker, but we do know it was well built. The tree is still solid,
and many saddle makers are buying these to rebuild them into saddles
to be used once again.
